Free rhythm game mod
A new challenger rises from the dead Friday Night Funkin - The Tricky Mod. This new antagonist comes from the Adobe Flash game, Madness Combat. Both Tricky in Friday Night Funkin and in Madness Combat is pretty much the same; a clown-like beast with green skin and red hair. His alien-like appearance is cemented by his lack of eyes, ears, and nose. All he has are large, protruding teeth. The mod offers an additional week called Clown with songs getting faster after each round.
What is Friday Night Funkin Clown Mod?
The rap battle continues in Friday Night Funkin’ - a music-themed game inspired by PaRappa the Rapper and Dance Dance Revolution. The Tricky Mod is a Friday Night Funkin mod that is available as a bonus week. The game starts with a clearly enraged Tricky coming from behind a rock. He immediately challenges you to a beatboxing match. To win, you must align each floating arrow the best you can with your WASD or arrow keys.
The meter at the bottom of the screen will decide the result of each round. The meter will shift to the left or to the right. When you win, it moves to the left, and when you lose, it moves to the right. Depending on how well you do, the meter can also move from green to red. The color red indicates that you are losing, while the color green indicates that you are winning. You'll play this game in 3 different modes: Easy, Intermediate, and Hard.
In this mod, the Easy mode is still very difficult; the music is fast-paced and has complicated arrow variations. It will take a lot of focus to beat it. The mod has 3 rounds, which make up a full in-game week, but at the conclusion of the third round, the game displays a ‘To Be Continued' message. There is no official explanation for this, but it is safe to say that more Madness Combat characters will appear in this mod.
Avid Friday Night Funkin players should try out The Tricky Mod. It is quite difficult to finish (some may say harder than V.S. Whitty), but it’s also incredibly fun to test your precision and beat timing. It’s more straightforward than the original game and other FNF mods as it lacks cutscenes. The downside to this is that the mod lacks story and depth. While it’s not as gripping as other mods, it focuses on what’s important: matching the beats.
